How are ya? I’m a little tan from my weekend trip to New Orleans. I’m also a little emotional because I got to spend four days with my bestie, who I don’t see nearly enough.
I’m sure you all know how hard it is to have pieces of your heart in different parts of the world. It’s difficult, but what a privilege it is to see a new city through the eyes of someone you love. The other amazing part of exploring your bestie’s new city is knowing when you can just kick it on the couch. We had optimistic plans to go wild on Bourbon Street, but at the end of the day you could find us with takeout sushi, excited about the new boys entering the villa. It’s exactly where I belonged.

On this weekend trip, I introduced my bestie to Love Island (UK) Season 3. It’s my favorite season of any Love Island series. It has all the usual aspects of the reality show: cracking on, grafting, and tears - lots of tears. I love this season mostly from the nostalgia of watching it in college while studying for finals. If you want a blast to the past (2017) this is the show for you!
For whatever reason, on my flight back to NYC, I decided to watch golf. I love sports, but golf has always been elusive to me. After 2 hours, I know understand some of the common phrases like birdie and bogey. For any golf lovers, the new show Stick is for you. In the Apple TV original, Owen Wilson plays a former professional golfer who starts to mentor a younger golf player. The show has a Ted Lasso air to it, so if you miss that show, this is a great replacement.
