Hi friends,
How are ya? I’m finally back in the city after another week of traveling. I went to South Carolina with my family, which was fun and lovely, spending time with people I barely see. The only person I know sassier than me, and with a worse attitude, is my father. We’re like the physical embodiment of “when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.” I’m sure other daddy’s girls can relate. We’re always arguing because we’re carbon copies of each other.
While we may butt heads, I still sobbed when I had to say goodbye to a car full of my favorite people. I’m blessed to have people who I feel like are rage-baiting me, but who are also my biggest supporters.
In today’s newsletter, we’ll talk about getting your spending in check, the WNBA All-Star Game, and Lena Dunham’s new show.
Let’s get into it!

As someone who was once anti-Girls but has since become a Girls-truther, I am very excited about Lena Dunham’s new show, Too Much. In the Netflix series, Megan Stalter, of Hacks fame, plays Jessica. Jessica is a workaholic and, after breaking up with her boyfriend, moves to London. In London, she meets Felix (played by Will Sharpe). Felix has a million red flags, but Jessica wears rose-colored glasses. I can’t say that I can’t relate! Every episode is available to stream now!
Calling all my “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” baddies! This weekend is the WNBA All-Star Game. Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis is hosting the star-studded weekend. On Friday, players will participate in a skills challenge, and the league’s sharpshooters will compete in the 3-point contest. Team Clark and Team Collier will go head-to-head in the All-Star Game on Saturday night. I don’t care who wins, I’m just excited for good basketball.
